	3940UW is a single-chip 32bit PCI Bus Plug and Play SCSI controller to be used in the PC which has a free PCI bus slot. It is designed as a low-cost high performance SCSI host adapter with BIOS for SCSI devices such as Hard Disk Drive,CD-ROM,CD-R,CD-RW,MO,JAZ,ZIP and flat-bed scanner,tape drive etc. With abundent drivers support for ASPI and SCAM,3940UW can work under major operating systems such as MS-DOS,Win 3.1,Win 95,Win 98 and Win NT,OS/2 Warp,Novell Netware,SCO Unix,UNIXWARE etc. Especially can fully compatible with new Mac Power G3. 3940UW can connect up to 15 SCSI devices through the internal 50-pin header and 68 pin high density and an external 68-pin high density connector. With embedded high-speed 64-byte FIFO buffers that allow concurrent data transfer on host bus and SCSI bus. It can sustain an asynchronous transfer rate to 10 MB/Sec. And burst up to 40 MB/Sec. at synchronous mode.
